In our group we research physics at the interface to biology and medicine. For this purpose, we
measure mechanical and electrical parameters of nanosystems
develop novel instruments for high resolution microscopy and medical diagnosis
Current projects:
visualizing morphological and mechanical properties of living cells and tissues
differentiating cancerous tissue using water flow elastography
illuminating transport processes in artificial and natural membranes
exposing biomaterials on the molecular scale
